I think I'm going to have to set my self a rule for a least one blog a month!! I can believe how long I've neglected this for!
Where to start!? We've had birthdays, weddings...
Well my Nicks sister, Becky and her now hubby Richard, tied the knot at Crathorne Hall Hotel in Yarm last month. It was a beautiful ceremony and everyone looked great, particularly the bride of course! Its put me in day dream mode about my own wedding, although that's going to be a very long time coming!
Mind you... I've picked the dress already!
We've also had Abbies first birthday, some of her cousins came to have some birthday fun with her and had a whale of a time popping balloons and dancing about to musical bumps!
We've also been to see Abbie's lovely godmother fifipunkle and bought Abbie an interesting new vest for particularly smelly days! Freda is one of the warmest, most loving people I know and is a brilliant godmother! I had a good old chin-wag with her daughter Rosa about writing and its got me in the mood to do some. Maybe after I've hit the fitness game on our Kinect!
In other news the weight loss has stopped again, but going to treat myself to a 2.5 syn cake and a good old Actifry chip sandwich. I've also joined the Hairy Bikers Diet club. I really identified with Simon King and the way he felt about exercise, but their passion for food helped them to come up with loads of great ideas and I'm gonna be using one tonight.... Can't wait!! :)
Well I suppose I should go and do some exercise... then make that cake!
Speak to you all next month!

Im back!
Well its been a while since I've blogged, but with Christmas, New Year and a lot of fun with the family I just haven't had time!!
First off, Abbie now goes to bed with her "bokkie" with mostly no trouble at all. She knows that when she is put in her cot, given her bottle, covered over and her Winnie the Pooh night light goes on, its time to sleep... and peace and quiet time for mammy and daddy!
I got all of my Christmas cards made with days to spare, although I was up until silly-o'clock making them! I've also decided to make the kids cards for the year and put them away, and no they wont be going into the safe place, with fourteen nieces and nephews its safe to say that I'll be going into that particular box every month!
We've had a few nice moments over the festive period, one of which was the Christening of Sophie Alana, one of my gorgeous nieces.
We had to grab the opportunity to take this photo, in it we have my grandma, brother, mam, dad, daughter and nieces. Oh and some woman who popped up behind grandma ;)
Abbie had a great time on the dance floor with her Nana Sue, she loved the bright lights of the disco!
And despite appearances, my mam wasn't drunk!!!
Just before Christmas another fantastic photo op came up when I popped to my mum-in-laws for our daily coffee. Ten of the thirteen grand kids were there, a chance not to be missed as they are not very often together, so out came the camera!
After Christmas Nick and I stayed at my parents for a week to dog sit Oska and Bailey. As I've said before our Bailey bobs is a nervous boy but after spending a week with me he seems much better. And even pinched his bit brothers spot for evening cuddles!
Overall we've had a great party season and this year we've started to save for our wedding. I cant wait to be Mrs Scott!!!. Of course if this last pic is an omen of the future, we may have gone grey from dealing with this little monkey by then!!
I think the insanity is already setting in!
See you soon!

Ups and Downs
Heigh ho everyone!
Well the last few days have been both good and bad, with my oven and washing machine both going on the blink. Thankfully my brother in law to be, Chris, is a trainee electrician and fixed the oven but the washer seems to have given up the ghost!
Abbie is settling into her new routine nicely A bit of a scream tonight but only fifteen minutes or so before she began her trek through the land of nod.
I lost a pound and a half at slimming world and am determined to have a good week this week so I can at least limit the Christmas damage! Tonight's meal is canned new potatoes, smoky bacon and mushrooms, cooked in the Actifry and topped with cheddar, accompanied by a large class of diet cola.
I'm in heaven! lol
Well Im off for now but may post again tomorrow, food is calling!

Bedtime progress...with a little cheating!
Howdy folks!
Well night two of Abbie's new bed time routine seemed to go relatively smoothly... so far! Although I did cheat a little bit. Normally she has a nap about three to four o'clock and as she was full of beans I skipped it. Consequently she was falling asleep in my arms by twenty to seven, so it was changed, cuddle and off to bed with a bottle. So far only two little whimpers because she lost her bottle.
In other news my dads lovely white German Shepherd Dog, Bailey, who is one week older than Abbie and a very nervous boy decided to come to me for a "fuss" tonight. Normally Bailey only comes to me when his dad and mum are out but tonight he saw me giving his big brother (five year old Irish Setter, Oska) a cuddle. After watching me for a minute or two with a "Oi! I want a love too!" look, I turned to him and said "come and get a cuddle if you want one!".
I was fully expecting him to do his normal thing and cower away when he trotted over, happy as you like to get his ears scratched!
I adore dogs and especially the GSD. I have grown up with the best of them and think them amazing family animals for any experienced dog owner.
I'm hoping to start my Christmas cards this week, I normally make them early and put them in a safe place. Paraphrase from Lemony Snickett "Safe place meaning here black wormhole from whence no item has yet been recovered until six months after you need it!"
I do have an idea for them, I just have to hope I have enough snowflake sequins!
Well, I'm off for another night, sleep tight!

First timer!
Well this is my first post on my first blog!
I thought I could use this blog to record my musings... it'll probably make no sense whatsoever!
Tonight was my first night letting my 8 month old daughter "cry it out", a method recommended by many friends and family, including my brother and lovely mother-in-law to be Carol. It took fifty minutes, but she is now fast asleep, giving me a chance to start this! Abbie is normally a very happy baby but difficult to settle with "cuddle" methods. I adore her more than I can say, this is her a few days ago:
I'm also going to be blogging about my Slimming World progress, as I have little to no will power and am hoping this step will embarrass me into being good! So far I have lost 12.5 lbs overall and am trying to pull back my weight loss to the 1st .5lbs I was at two weeks ago! (that's what a Christening and a trip to a gig will do to you!)
Tonight's meal is chicken and chips, both cooked in my beloved Tefal Actifry, bought for me as a treat by my wonderful fiancée, Nick. I don't think he expected me to be anywhere near as excited as I was when I saw it!
