Heigh ho everyone!
Well the last few days have been both good and bad, with my oven and washing machine both going on the blink. Thankfully my brother in law to be, Chris, is a trainee electrician and fixed the oven but the washer seems to have given up the ghost!
Abbie is settling into her new routine nicely A bit of a scream tonight but only fifteen minutes or so before she began her trek through the land of nod.
I lost a pound and a half at slimming world and am determined to have a good week this week so I can at least limit the Christmas damage! Tonight's meal is canned new potatoes, smoky bacon and mushrooms, cooked in the Actifry and topped with cheddar, accompanied by a large class of diet cola.
I'm in heaven! lol
Well Im off for now but may post again tomorrow, food is calling!

Bedtime progress...with a little cheating!
Howdy folks!
Well night two of Abbie's new bed time routine seemed to go relatively smoothly... so far! Although I did cheat a little bit. Normally she has a nap about three to four o'clock and as she was full of beans I skipped it. Consequently she was falling asleep in my arms by twenty to seven, so it was changed, cuddle and off to bed with a bottle. So far only two little whimpers because she lost her bottle.
In other news my dads lovely white German Shepherd Dog, Bailey, who is one week older than Abbie and a very nervous boy decided to come to me for a "fuss" tonight. Normally Bailey only comes to me when his dad and mum are out but tonight he saw me giving his big brother (five year old Irish Setter, Oska) a cuddle. After watching me for a minute or two with a "Oi! I want a love too!" look, I turned to him and said "come and get a cuddle if you want one!".
I was fully expecting him to do his normal thing and cower away when he trotted over, happy as you like to get his ears scratched!
I adore dogs and especially the GSD. I have grown up with the best of them and think them amazing family animals for any experienced dog owner.
I'm hoping to start my Christmas cards this week, I normally make them early and put them in a safe place. Paraphrase from Lemony Snickett "Safe place meaning here black wormhole from whence no item has yet been recovered until six months after you need it!"
I do have an idea for them, I just have to hope I have enough snowflake sequins!
Well, I'm off for another night, sleep tight!

First timer!
Well this is my first post on my first blog!
I thought I could use this blog to record my musings... it'll probably make no sense whatsoever!
Tonight was my first night letting my 8 month old daughter "cry it out", a method recommended by many friends and family, including my brother and lovely mother-in-law to be Carol. It took fifty minutes, but she is now fast asleep, giving me a chance to start this! Abbie is normally a very happy baby but difficult to settle with "cuddle" methods. I adore her more than I can say, this is her a few days ago:
I'm also going to be blogging about my Slimming World progress, as I have little to no will power and am hoping this step will embarrass me into being good! So far I have lost 12.5 lbs overall and am trying to pull back my weight loss to the 1st .5lbs I was at two weeks ago! (that's what a Christening and a trip to a gig will do to you!)
Tonight's meal is chicken and chips, both cooked in my beloved Tefal Actifry, bought for me as a treat by my wonderful fiancée, Nick. I don't think he expected me to be anywhere near as excited as I was when I saw it!
